Creating and Managing an Amazon Developer Account for Alexa Skills

In order to publish an Alexa skill, you need an Amazon Developer account.  The Amazon Developer account is not the same as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) account, it is more aligned with amazon.com and releasing Alexa skills and FireOS apps for consumption by amazon.com users.  The best instructions for creating an account are provided by Amazon, which you can find here.  If you have an existing account but want to create a new profile under the account, that is possible as well.  This reduces the need to create new developer accounts with unique usernames and passwords, these instructions can be found here. 

Once you create your account, you can then invite users to the account and give these users specific access.  More about how to invite users and the possible roles here.
