Privacy and Compliance Questions

The privacy and compliance question may seem a little intimidating at first but we are here to walk you through it.   We would answer these questions for you if we could but are required that you fill them out.  

Does this skill allow users to make purchases or spend real money?

For Podcast and Radio station voice applications, you most likely are answering No here.

Does this Alexa skill collect users' personal information?

For Podcast, Radio station and a majority of the custom voice applications on the platform you are going to answer No here.

Is this skill directed to or does it target children under the age of 13?

For Podcast and Radio station voice applications, you most likely are answering No here. 

Does this skill contain advertising?

If you are a Podcaster or Radio station and have host reads or advertising then you will answer Yes here.  You are not penalized or treated different for answering Yes.

Export Compliance Check Box

This question is the most intimidating.  It is simply requiring you to confirm that you are not exporting software that cannot be exported under the rules and regulations established by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), who is tasked with making sure you aren't exporting technology that will put the national security of the United States at risk.
